Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Senior Audit Associates to join our Hong Kong–based CPA practice's Kuala Lumpur team. You will lead statutory audit and assurance engagements for clients across a range of industries, including cross-border and Hong Kong engagements, working independently under minimal supervision while guiding and reviewing junior associates.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and execute audit assignments for clients across various industries, from planning through to completion, under minimal supervision.

· Plan audit engagements — set scope, assess risks, determine materiality and design the audit approach.

· Perform and review audit fieldwork: tests of controls, substantive and analytical procedures.

· Prepare and review audit working papers in line with the firm's methodology and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

· Draft and review financial statements and audit reports in accordance with MFRS / IFRS and the Companies Act 2016.

· Act as the primary point of contact for clients on audit matters, resolving complex queries and managing expectations.

· Supervise, coach and review the work of junior audit associates, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.

· Identify accounting and audit issues, propose resolutions and escalate to managers and partners as appropriate.

· Manage multiple engagements within agreed budgets and timelines, including during peak season (February–April).

Requirements

· Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (accounting major preferred).

· ACCA finalist or member (or equivalent, e.g. MICPA, CPA Australia, ICAEW, MIA membership).

· At least 3 years of relevant experience in external audit / assurance, with a firm-based background.

· Proven ability to lead engagements independently and review the work of junior team members.

· Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese / Mandarin an advantage for Hong Kong and cross-border clients (preferred, not a must).

· Solid working knowledge of MFRS / IFRS, ISA and the Companies Act 2016.

· Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

· Self-motivated, analytical and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
