Structural Topsides Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

• The Principal Engineer's purpose is to deliver projects that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability, contributing to the organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.
• To utilize your technical expertise to develop safe and quality solutions in support of projects and discipline requirements without guidance.
• To ensure the successful resolution of complex technical issues to meet project and discipline deliverables.
• To engage with peers across Regional Centers to promote knowledge sharing and act as a consultant and mentor to less experienced engineers within the discipline to ensure knowledge transfer, product memory, and application of best practices.
• To work in conjunction with the Discipline Manager, Discipline Leads and engineering staff to seek continuous improvement in both quality and efficiency of the work.
• To improve and promote continuously your technical knowledge and capabilities by staying abreast of the latest industry developments, including internal technology readiness and ensuring that lessons learnt are effectively captured from the fleet, projects and technology.
• May act as Discipline Lead for the assigned scope of work and/or may be designated as a Technical Expert (TE) and/or Engineering Method Authority.

Requirements

• Engineer Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• More than 25 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Functional Competencies are Advanced computation methods - Finite Element Calculation, Engineering design and calculation tools, Concept development, Structural Topsides, Detailed design, Package engineering and manufacturing, Reliability, operability and safety, Site engineering, Analysis and Planning
