The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our growing Project Management team. You will play a key role in developing, managing and monitoring project programmes, providing strategic planning advice, and ensuring projects are delivered on time. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, you will support the successful delivery of major capital projects from planning through to completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and maintain integrated project programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Lead planning and scheduling activities across one or multiple projects.
  • Monitor project progress, analyse schedule performance and identify programme risks.
  • Prepare recovery programmes and recommend mitigation strategies where delays are identified.
  • Review contractor programmes and assess compliance with project requirements.
  • Produce regular programme updates, dashboards and progress reports for clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project managers, cost managers, design teams and contractors to ensure programme alignment.
  • Support risk workshops, change management and delay analysis.
  • Provide planning expertise during procurement, design and construction phases.
  • Mentor and support junior planning professionals where required.


About

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential; experience with Microsoft Project is advantageous.
  • Experience delivering large-scale capital projects such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, or data centre developments.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, critical path methodology, earned value management and schedule risk analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
