About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems for heavy industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that meet project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements while supporting manufacturing, testing, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems in accordance with engineering standards, industry best practices, and project specifications.

• Perform design, sizing, selection, and integration of steel structures, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems.

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and project documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals.

• Support factory testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and functional verification of equipment prior to delivery and at customer sites when required.

• Provide technical support and engineering advice to the Sales, After-Sales, and Production teams.

• Conduct customer or end-user training on equipment operation and maintenance when necessary.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and delivered according to project schedules.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.

• Experience in the design of machinery, mechanical systems, components, and hydraulic systems, preferably within heavy industries such as cranes, material handling equipment, or construction machinery.

• Proficient in 3D CAD design with the ability to perform engineering calculations and technical analyses in accordance with recognised engineering standards.

• Knowledge of steel fabrication and machining processes will be an advantage.

• Experience in equipment design, component selection, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting is preferred.
