Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily electrical maintenance activities to ensure machinery, equipment, and plant facilities operate safely and efficiently.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize production downtime.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and operational performance.
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment, including motors, switchboards, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, transformers, generators, and other industrial electrical systems.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyze recurring electrical faults, and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and electrical modification projects.
- Guide and mentor junior technicians by providing technical support, on-the-job training, and ensuring maintenance work is completed to the required standard.
- Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analyses, and maintenance records while ensuring accurate documentation of all completed work.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, electrical regulations, Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and other statutory requirements.
- Work closely with the Production, Engineering, and other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and continuous improvement of plant operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical/Vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, motors, transformers, switchgear, and instrumentation.
- Experienced in troubleshooting electrical faults and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Leadership experience in supervising maintenance teams is preferred.
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.
- Possession of a Chargeman or Wireman certificate is an added advantage.
