About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer who thinks from first principles, draws clarity and fresh perspective from being connected to nature, and is driven to uncover & solve underlying root problems in complex supply chain flows — not just patch symptoms.

Key Responsibilities

• Break down tough supply chain challenges using first-principles thinking — question assumptions in logistics processes, data flows, and optimization logic to build cleaner, more effective solutions

• Identify and fix the true underlying problems in visibility, consolidation, exception handling, forecasting, or performance — going beyond surface-level bugs

• Write clean, maintainable, simple code that powers VIZIV features, integrations, analytics, or real-time tools — easy for the team to understand and extend

• Dive deep into system behavior, large datasets, API interactions, AI model outputs, or operational exceptions to reach root causes and deliver lasting improvements

• Deliver high-impact, result-oriented enhancements on time — focus on outcomes like better on-time performance, cost savings, or customer trust

• Earn trust from product, operations, customers, and engineers through transparency, dependability, clear communication, and intellectual honesty

• Insist on the highest standards in code quality, automated testing, security (especially for global trade/compliance data), documentation, and user experience — never accept “it works” as good enough

• Stay curious — continuously learn supply chain domain knowledge, new tools/languages/frameworks, cloud patterns, AI techniques; share learnings generously

• Collaborate closely with logistics experts, data analysts, product owners, and global teams to build reliable, scalable software that supports real-world freight movement

• Contribute to a positive team culture that values clarity, simplicity, long-term thinking, and balanced, fresh perspective from being connected to nature

• Exercise maximum local autonomy to innovate and solve creatively, while maintaining maximum global coherence in data flows, platform consistency, security, scalability, customer experience and company goals

Who We’re Looking For

• 1–5+ years hands-on software development experience

• Strong problem-solving via first-principles approach — proven by how you’ve questioned/re-built solutions before

• Genuine passion for technology + deep curiosity and love of learning new things quickly

• Connection to nature — think more clearly, and bring balanced, fresh perspective to intense problem-solving

• Track record of diving deep, simplifying complexity, and delivering clean, high-standard results under real deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to earn trust in teams through consistent delivery, candor, and ownership

• Comfort owning end-to-end problems and pushing for simplicity over feature bloat

• Solid programming fundamentals (we value clear thinking over specific languages — experience in any modern stack like Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, etc. is fine)

• Ability to thrive in maximum local autonomy + maximum global coherence environments: self-directed yet aligned, independent yet collaborative, and fully aligned with company goals

Nice-to-Have (not required)

• Experience with supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, or ERP/WMS systems

• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs/microservices, real-time data processing, or analytics tools

• Familiarity with testing (unit/integration/E2E), CI/CD, or DevOps practices

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, or visualization tools

• Understanding of global trade compliance, EDI, or shipment tracking data
