Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Sales Engineer will engage with existing and prospective customers to understand their automation needs, propose tailored engineering solutions, and prepare technical and commercial proposals. The role includes conducting product and system presentations, providing pre-sales technical support, and coordinating closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions align with customer specifications. The Sales Engineer will follow up on leads, manage the sales pipeline, support after-sales inquiries, and maintain long-term customer relationships. The position also involves market research, attending industry events when required, and contributing feedback to enhance products and services.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to interpret customer requirements, configure solutions, and provide technical guidance.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with clients, present solutions clearly, and build lasting relationships.
• Candidates should possess solid Sales skills to identify opportunities, develop proposals, negotiate terms, and achieve sales targets.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in industrial automation.
• Understanding of factory and process automation systems, such as PLCs, motion control, robotics, and industrial networking, is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Comfort with on-site visits to customer facilities and willingness to travel within Malaysia as needed.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the Malaysian market are an advantage.
