About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced Outsource Procurement Manager to lead strategic supplier management activities across outsourced manufacturing operations.

This position plays a critical role in developing long-term supplier partnerships, driving commercial value, and ensuring contract manufacturers consistently meet business expectations in quality, cost, delivery, and operational excellence.


Working closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Quality and Legal teams, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations, mitigating supply risks, and supporting sourcing strategies that strengthen manufacturing capability across the region.


This role is ideal for procurement professionals who enjoy balancing commercial strategy with cross-functional collaboration in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with contract manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Drive supplier performance through regular business reviews, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, identify development opportunities and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Build long-term partnerships that support business growth, operational efficiency and supply continuity.

Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, manufacturing requirements and procurement goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier competitiveness, cost efficiency and operational resilience.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification and onboarding activities for new manufacturing programs.
  • Analyse supplier markets and recommend sourcing strategies based on commercial and operational requirements.

Commercial & Contract Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, contractual terms, supplier agreements and commercial risk.
  • Partner with Legal and internal stakeholders throughout contract development, execution and renewal.
  • Ensure supplier contracts remain compliant with corporate governance and procurement policies.
  • Drive value creation through effective supplier negotiations beyond traditional cost savings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal teams to align procurement activities with business priorities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness by ensuring supplier capability and sourcing readiness.
  • Act as the primary procurement contact for outsourced manufacturing partners.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment on supplier performance, commercial issues and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Supplier Performance & Risk Management

  • Establish supplier scorecards and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Monitor supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness.
  • Identify commercial and operational risks within the supply base and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure business continuity through supplier risk assessments and contingency planning.

Procurement Governance

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Maintain accurate supplier documentation and procurement records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and supplier governance.


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Strategic Procurement, Category Management or Supplier Management.
  • Proven experience managing contract manufacturers, outsourced manufacturing partners or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Strong commercial procurement experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups including Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Legal.
  • Exposure to regional or global supplier management is highly advantageous.
