Company Description Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd, known as Lumut Port, is strategically located off the Straits of Malacca on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia in Perak. Established as a State Port, it serves as a key catalyst for economic growth, development, and industrialization in the region and the country. The company owns and operates the port at Kg Acheh, Lumut, which has been in operation for more than 20 years since its officiation in 1995, and has managed Lekir Bulk Terminal since 2002. Lumut Port Industrial Park provides land space for warehousing and transshipment, supporting both local and foreign investors. In 2016, Lumut Maritime Terminal achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, reflecting its commitment to quality management and operational excellence.

Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Multimedia Designer based in Seri Manjung. The intern will assist in designing and producing visual content, including graphics, videos, and web-based materials that support corporate communications, marketing, and internal initiatives. Daily tasks may include creating design assets for presentations and social media, editing videos, preparing multimedia content for digital platforms, and maintaining brand consistency across all materials. The role involves collaborating with various departments to understand design needs, supporting event-related multimedia requirements, and contributing creative ideas to enhance the port’s visual identity.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with multimedia tools and platforms, including basic proficiency in Multimedia and Video Production.
• Strong visual design capabilities, with skills in Graphics and Graphic Design for both digital and print materials.
• Foundational understanding of Web Design principles for creating or supporting web-based content.
• Proficiency in common design and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent) and basic video editing tools.
• Currently pursuing or having completed studies in Multimedia, Design, Communications, or a related field.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to follow brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced port and industrial environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Seri Manjung and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
