Tasks and Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality
- Prepare supplier quotation comparison reports based on price, quality, service, and other relevant criteria to support purchasing decisions
- Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, product quality, warranty claims, and other procurement matters
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all purchasing-related forms, certifications, and records, and submit timely reports
- Handle purchasing of technical or engineering-related items, including services, spare parts, and maintenance-related requirements
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time
Qualification
- Good understanding of procurement processes
- Possess at least STPM or Diplomat, with 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-related environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications for data entry, analysis, and reporting
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, meticulous, and responsible
- Well-organised and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Good to have knowledge & skills
- Able to assist in drafting and updating SOPs as required, with basic knowledge of SOP structure and documentation practices
- Basic understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions
- Experience in palm oil refinery will be an added advantage
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
