Job Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SMT manufacturing processes to achieve quality, productivity, and cost targets.
- Set up, program, and troubleshoot SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens.
- Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce defects.
- Analyze production issues using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, machine parameters, and process flow charts.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), including process validation, trial runs, and production ramp-up.
- Optimize stencil design, solder paste printing, component placement, and reflow profiles.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Monitor key process indicators such as yield, first-pass yield (FPY), defect rates, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards, ESD requirements, and company quality management systems.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities for SMT equipment.
- Train production personnel on SMT processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Support customer audits, internal audits, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in SMT manufacturing or electronics assembly (experience requirement may vary based on seniority).
