Job Responsibilities:
Project Gate Management (new project to mass production)
- Participate early in new PCP/PPCP launch phase activities to understand BC targets and CSR requirements.
- Take part in new project trial runs to identify gaps related to BC and CSR.
- Act as a key user in supporting BC routing creation in SAP.
- Serve as gatekeeper for PCP from CR and PPCP from ER to ensure BC targets are achieved.
- Compliance with PSS standards (speaker products)
- Ensure process quality through implementation of error-proofing solutions.
- Verify that newly designed and introduced jigs and equipment comply with PPCP standards.
- Track and ensure timely implementation of engineering changes for SOP models.
- Act as a key member in standardized work, layered process audits, and both internal and external audits.
- Coordinate trial runs for experiments and report results, especially for SOP model changes.
- Support and prioritize troubleshooting activities, ensuring timely response and accurate reporting.
- Ensure all SOP engineering documentation is up to date.
Productivity Improvement
- Conduct daily Gemba audits to ensure compliance with standardized workPFMEA, and Control Plans.
- Perform 4-year plan and annual capacity analysis based on IBP/MTP volumes;escalate and propose solutions in case of capacity constraints.
- Monitor WPS (short-term) and MPS (long-term) capacity status, escalatingand proposing solutions when constraints arise.
- Ensure assigned models and production lines meet OEE and labor efficiencytargets aligned with financial and operational goals.
- Track cycle time and line balancing improvements, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.
- Initiate and lead P+ projects to continuously enhance production performance.
- Ensure manufacturing layouts are maintained and up to date.
- Actively contribute to QRQC, KATA, and BBSC improvement initiatives.
Other Manufacturing Engineering Activities
- Carry over and simple project launch activity assigned by superior.
- EVA, CIPs on product quality, productivity and efficiency.
- Support budget program, including CAPEX and COGS roadmaps.
- GEN (Global Engineering Network) representative.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Acoustical).
- Working Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the speaker manufacturing industry.
- Expertise / Skills: Strong knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, DOE, DMAIC, and Minitab.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software for designing jigs and fixtures.
- Language Skills: Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
