Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in SSI (Standard Settlement Instructions) and Back Office Operations within the Banking or Financial Services industry. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery for business transformation, system implementation, process improvements, and operational initiatives related to securities, settlement, and back-office operations.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent project management capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of banking operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and project closure.
• Lead business and technology projects involving Back Office Operations, Securities Services, Trade Settlement, and Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI).
• Work closely with business users, operations teams, IT, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
• Monitor project progress, identify project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system implementation, and post-production support.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, Steering Committee meetings, and status reporting to senior management.
• Ensure projects comply with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across back-office functions.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party deliverables.
• Prepare project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and change requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of Project Management experience within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Strong knowledge of SSI (Standard Settlement Instructions) and Back Office Operations.
• Experience managing projects related to:
• Securities Services
• Trade Settlement
• Custody Operations
• Capital Markets
• Corporate Actions
• Cash Management
• SWIFT Messaging (preferred)
• Experience delivering system implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and cross-functional team management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project environments.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
