Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager role based in Tawau, Sabah. The Human Resources Manager will oversee end-to-end, full spectrum HR operations, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. The role involves implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company guidelines, and advising leaders on people-related matters. The Human Resources Manager will manage compensation and benefits administration, leave and attendance records, and HR reporting. Day-to-day tasks include supporting employee engagement initiatives, resolving workplace issues, coordinating training and development programs, and partnering with management to align HR practices with business objectives.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (particularly, Sabah Labour Ordinance), HR compliance requirements, and best practices in workplace policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in HR administration, including maintaining HR databases, managing payroll inputs, and handling leave and benefits records.
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills to work with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience as HR Manager or senior HR role is preferred. Experience in a plantation or similar industry is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tawau and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
