Position Summary
The Engineering Build Planner & Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing engineering builds across manufacturing sites. This role serves as the key interface between Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure builds are loaded, executed, and completed according to required timelines. The position owns the end-to-end engineering build scheduling process, including production order creation, build readiness validation, execution tracking, and issue escalation.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate engineering build requirements into executable manufacturing plans.
- Review Engineering Build Plans and determine required production orders, material readiness, and manufacturing capacity.
- Create and release production orders to support engineering builds.
- Work closely with Site Operations, Manufacturing, NPI, Planning, and Production Control teams to secure build slots.
- Escalate issues that may impact build timing, quality, or engineering objectives.
- Drive timely resolution of material shortages, routing issues, capacity conflicts, and system exceptions.
- Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Experience creating and managing Production Orders within ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
- Ability to interpret Engineering Build Plans, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
- Experience tracking WIP, lot movement, and production execution.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Engineering or equivalent.
- Min. 2 years of experience in production planning.
- Experience supporting engineering builds in a manufacturing environment preferred.
