We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Injection Mold Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of injection molds used in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mold tooling, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to support high-quality production, minimize downtime, and demonstrate commitment, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Job Description

· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on injection molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

· Diagnose and repair mold-related issues including wear, damage, and dimensional inaccuracies.

· Collaborate with production and tooling teams to schedule mold maintenance without disrupting operations.

· Maintain accurate records of mold maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications.

· Conduct mold trials and validations after maintenance or repairs.

· Recommend and implement improvements to mold design and maintenance procedures.

· Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.

· Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for mold-related defects or failures.

· Manage inventory of spare parts and tooling components related to mold maintenance.

· Review the mold designs from toolmakers and help them to surpass technical challenges.

· Get input from reporting managers in case of doubts

· Create plan and tracker for monitoring work

· Follow up with toolmakers for deliveries

· Coordinate the trial of molding

· Take decisions and execute actions to prove the parts

· Deliver good quality mold to production and monitor tooling issues during production.

· Involve in production sustenance activities for quality improvements

Authority

· Direct technicians for the action plan to be implemented as per the internal alignment

· Escalate toolmaker or supplier issues to management

· Bring innovative ideas and suggestions to the management

· Plan the work for toolroom as per customer schedule

· Raise doubts and questions openly to the team

Job Requirements

· BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ tool engineering/ Tool & Die making or relevant discipline.

· Minimum 3 years of experience as Mold maker

· No age bar and gender bar if the person fit for work

Job Related Skills

· Experience with hot runner systems and mold temperature control units.

· Familiarity with CAD software and mold flow analysis tools will be an advantage.

· Lean manufacturing and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) knowledge. Knowledge of different types of molding techniques will be an advantage

· Experience reading 2D detail drawings, GD&T and tolerancing.

· Knowledge about toolroom manufacturing processes and methods.

· Strong machining knowledge

· Knowledge in TIG and laser welding

· Care for Minor Detail (CMD) approach towards mold repair.

· Knowledge in materials used for molds, especially tool steel.

· Knowledge in the manufacturing technologies of different types of plastic molds

· Knowledge in IQ, OQ and PQ of molds

· Knowledge in online mold troubleshooting

· Inspection and measurement skills

· Proficiency in MS office tools like word, excel, PowerPoint etc.

· Good command in English and excellent communication skills
