Overview:
The Network Manager will oversee and manage the entire network infrastructure of our organization. This role focuses on strategic planning, design, implementation, and operational oversight to ensure network reliability, security, and performance. The Network Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives while performing direct management of the network team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Strategic Network Projects and Innovation: Lead project planning/execution, pilot emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure design and performance.
- Network Performance Optimization and Efficiency: Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Network Security Posture and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, while collaborating with the security team on threat management.
- Incident Management: Lead troubleshooting and resolution of network issues, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, systems, security, and business teams to align network infrastructure with organizational objectives.
- Team Leadership, Development and Capacity Planning: Create individual development plans, hold regular technical training/knowledge shares, perform succession planning, and update capacity models.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive network documentation and provide detailed reports on network performance, projects, and improvements to leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in network administration or management, with a proven track record in planning, designing, and implementing complex network infrastructure.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Huawei) and software (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and Burmese.
