Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Business Development role located in WP Kuala Lumpur. The Assistant Manager Business Development is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and supporting the development and execution of sales strategies. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, preparing proposals and presentations, coordinating with underwriting and claims teams, and maintaining accurate sales and pipeline reports. The role also involves attending client meetings, networking events, and industry functions, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to enhance service offerings and drive revenue growth. The individual in this role is expected to contribute to business planning, monitor performance against targets, and ensure a high standard of client service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in business development, sales, and client relationship management, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain insurance solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Analytical and research capabilities to understand market trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
• Organizational and planning skills to manage multiple accounts, prepare proposals, and meet deadlines.
• Relevant experience in insurance, financial services, or a related business-to-business environment is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and CRM systems, and comfort working with data and reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain a professional, ethical approach in all client interactions.
