About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Assistant to join the Quality Assurance & Control team at Asia Lab Manufacturing. This is a full-time position based in Alor Setar, Kedah. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will work alongside experienced quality professionals to monitor, test, and document manufacturing processes, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections and tests on products and materials at various stages of production
• Document inspection results, test data, and quality metrics in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
• Identify and report quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances to the Quality Assurance team
• Assist in investigating quality problems and support corrective action procedures
• Perform calibration checks on quality control equipment and instruments
• Support the implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions across the manufacturing facility
• Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities and maintain organised quality documentation
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related concerns and prevent defects
• Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality standards

What we're looking for

• A secondary school qualification or higher, with A-Levels, diploma or technical qualifications in a relevant field being advantageous
• Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control or a related manufacturing role, or demonstrated ability to quickly develop technical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to follow strict quality standards and procedures
• Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in using quality control equipment, testing instruments, and basic computer systems for data recording
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Reliability and a professional approach to health, safety and compliance matters
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in quality assurance processes and methodologies
