职位描述

岗位职责

At ST Engineering Land Systems, we design and deliver advanced land defence platforms that support armed forces in achieving mission success and operational superiority. Our Structure and Mechanisation Centre plays a vital role in the design of military vehicle hulls, ballistic protection systems, and crew ergonomics, ensuring performance, protection, and survivability.

As part of a global engineering and defence group, we are committed to innovation, sustainability, and a safer world. Join us as we reimagine land mobility through advanced engineering and next-generation manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Hull Structure Engineer, you will:

  • Assist in the design and structural development of armoured vehicle hulls, subframes, and welded assemblies to meet protection and mobility requirements.
  • Use Siemens NX for detailed CAD modelling, drafting, and product definition of structural components and assemblies.
  • Perform basic structural analysis and verification of designs, including static strength, fatigue, and modal behaviour where applicable.
  • Contribute to the selection and integration of materials, particularly for ballistic and blast protection (e.g., high-hardness steels, aluminium alloys, composites).
  • Support prototyping, integration, and field validation of hull systems and mechanical structures.

In addition, you will:

  • Participate in the redesign of mechanical and structural components for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to improve weight, performance, or manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, and R&D to evaluate AM use cases and validate printed components.
  • Apply best practices for DfAM in terms of topology optimization, print orientation, support strategy, and post-processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply
  • Experience or formal training in Siemens NX for part and assembly modelling, drafting, and design documentation.
  • Knowledge of mechanical structures, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic understanding of structural mechanics and analysis methods.
  • Interest in Additive Manufacturing and its applications in mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with DfAM principles and 3D printing technologies (especially metals).
  • Good understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
  • Enthusiastic about defence systems, innovation, and applied engineering.
  • Strong team player with a self-driven attitude and attention to detail.
