Key Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Core Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically requires 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Java Web application development and API design.
• Industry: Prior experience in the Insurance or Financial sector is highly preferred.

Technical Competencies:

• Back-end & API: Proficiency in Java J2EE, Spring Boot, and building/integrating RESTful APIs.
• Front-end: Familiarity with modern UI frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Databases: Strong SQL programming skills, including experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or DB2.

· Cloud & Tools: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Git for version control.

· AI Integration: Modern roles leverage AI coding assistants (like GitHub Copilot or Cursor) daily for code generation and review.

Responsibilities:

· Design, build, and maintain robust, reusable, and testable modules/pages.

· Lead integration architecture efforts, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant API communication across microservices and legacy systems.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

· Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and mentor junior developers.

Document technical manuals and system operating procedures

Pay: Up to RM12,500.00 per month
