We're Hiring: Analog Layout Design Engineer | Penang, Malaysia

Join a leading Semiconductor organization and contribute to the development of next-generation analog, digital, and mixed-signal ICs. We are looking for an experienced Analog Layout Design Engineer with strong expertise in custom IC layout, physical verification, and advanced semiconductor technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the layout design of analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs).
• Collaborate with circuit designers to understand design requirements, constraints, and performance targets.
• Perform floorplanning, device placement, routing, and layout optimization for performance, area, and manufacturability.
• Execute physical verification including DRC, LVS, ERC, and Reliability Verification (RV).
• Optimize layouts for matching, parasitic effects, shielding, and noise isolation.
• Plan and manage layout schedules, deliverables, and project milestones.
• Conduct layout design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Work closely with foundry partners to ensure compliance with process design rules and manufacturing standards.
• Develop and maintain layout methodologies and design guidelines.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Layout Design.
• Strong expertise in Cadence Virtuoso and industry-standard EDA tools (Mentor Graphics/Siemens EDA preferred).

• DRC, LVS, ERC & Reliability Verification (RV)
• Transistor-Level Layout
• Device Matching, Common Centroid & Interdigitation
• Parasitic Extraction & Optimization
• Noise Isolation & Shielding
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and foundry design rules.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience mentoring layout engineers is an advantage.
