JD - AS400 Application Developer

DEPARTMENT: Information Communication Technology and Research (ICT&R)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

1. Responsible for the development and integration of Polisy/400 application solutions.
2. Involved in Polisy/400 application development activities.
3. Provide support for production incidents and perform troubleshooting activities.
4. Work with relevant programming languages, operating systems, and software platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support for the core Policy Administration System by collaborating with various stakeholders, including users and vendors.
2. Analyze issues and concerns raised by business users.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve batch job-related issues.
4. Maintain knowledge of Polisy/Group Asia processes and standards.
5. Possess a solid understanding of SDLC and Change Management processes.
6. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the design and architecture of the administration system.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant working experience in a related field.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. Familiarity with AS400 systems and operational activities.
2. Prior insurance industry exposure would be an added advantage.
3. Knowledge of programming languages and platforms such as COBOL/400, COBOL, SMART/400, Groupasia400, Polisy400, and AS/400.
4. Experience working with relational databases to support software development activities.
5. Knowledge of Business Objects.
