Application Support/ Incident Support Consultant (Azure Data Platform)

Our client is a leading international insurance company with a highly mature cloud infrastructure. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated IT professional to join their enterprise data team to ensure the high availability and continuous optimization of their cloud data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Level 1 to Level 3 support, including system troubleshooting, code bug fixing, and the efficient resolution of complex technical issues for data platforms.
• Actively monitor application performance on Azure and implement preventative fixes to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate closely with offshore teams to deliver seamless incident support, conduct detailed root cause analysis, and ensure continuous platform availability.
• Communicate effectively with offshore teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to maintain clear, structured, and timely exchanges of critical information.
• Contribute to the development of technical solutions and build functional enhancements to optimize application functionality on the Azure platform based on changing business requirements.
• Thoroughly document technical processes, engineering procedures, and technical specifications related to the deployed Azure services to strengthen the team's internal knowledge base.

Job Requirements

• Academic Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related quantitative engineering field.
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience and deep expertise in data engineering or cloud-based application support.
• Core Technical Stack: Absolute proficiency in Python, SQL, and Azure services, with mandatory hands-on experience in:
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure SQL Database
  • Azure DevOps (for CI/CD and deployment tracking)
• Advantageous Skills: Familiarity or structural knowledge and experience in other Azure services, such as Azure Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps, will be highly advantageous and desirable.
• Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, a genuine passion for software development, and a quick-learner mindset with the proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English are essential to work effectively with clients and offshore teams.
