Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

Singapore | Confidential Client


Our client is an established international bank seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join its Corporate Banking team in Singapore.

This role is responsible for developing and managing corporate client relationships, originating new lending opportunities, maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio, and delivering tailored banking solutions across lending, trade finance, and treasury products.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and grow relationships with new and existing corporate clients.
  • Originate lending opportunities including bilateral facilities, syndicated and club loans, and secondary loan transactions.
  • Build relationships with financial sponsors, banks, private equity firms, and other market participants to generate new business.

Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary relationship contact for an assigned portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Understand clients' financing requirements and provide solutions across loans, trade finance, foreign exchange, and other banking products.
  • Manage ongoing client servicing, including annual credit reviews, KYC renewals, and account maintenance.

Credit & Risk Management

  • Conduct credit analysis and prepare credit proposals for internal approval.
  • Present recommendations to relevant approval committees where required.
  • Monitor portfolio quality and ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Transaction Execution

  • Coordinate loan drawdowns, repricing, repayments, amendments, and other financing transactions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and counterparties to ensure smooth execution of transactions.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Coordinate with Legal and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution and enforceability of facility documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, regulatory records, and management reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3–6 years' experience in Corporate Banking with exposure to commercial lending, credit analysis, or relationship management.
  • Experience preparing credit proposals and managing corporate lending transactions.
  • Good understanding of corporate banking products including loans, trade finance, and treasury solutions.
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced banking environment.
