Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Executive to join our dynamic team in Sejingkat, Kuching. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while managing complex logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Handle customer inquiries and coordinate shipping arrangements

· Plan and schedule transportation routes for timely delivery and distribution

· Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely container clearance and cargo movement (haul-in and haul-out)

· Prepare and issue invoices, delivery orders, and other relevant shipping documents

· Submit and prepare documents for management to process vendor payments

· Provide freight rates and advice on suitable shipping solutions

· Pre-notify customers ahead of delivery and coordinate delivery requirements

· Resolve cargo issues or disputes promptly and professionally

· Ensure accuracy in cargo receiving, invoicing, and shipping documentation

· Follow up on payments (cash and credit) and monitor debtor accounts

· Maintain accurate records and data in the freight management system

· Liaise with service providers, transporters, and vendors for smooth operations

· Ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal company procedures

Requirements

· Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or min. 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding or related area

· Familiar with customs procedures and shipping processes

· Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus)

· Computer literate (MS Office & logistics systems)

Preferred

· Experience in LCL and containerized shipments

· Knowledge of local (Kuching) routes and delivery logistics

· Familiarity with freight management systems and trade documents
