This involve both operational and commercial position. You will not only manage the mobilization, tracking, and compliance of our fleet but will also act as our primary technical buyer. You will leverage your negotiation skills to source spare parts, manage supplier contracts, and optimize fleet costing to minimize downtime and project spend.

Key Responsibilities

• Logistics & Allocation: Coordinate the allocation, mobilization, and demobilization of machinery across all construction sites to meet strict project schedules.
• Asset Tracking & Compliance: Maintain a master machinery register covering location, status, permits, insurance, inspection dates, and usage hours. Ensure full statutory and safety compliance.
• Maintenance Coordination: Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize site breakdowns and equipment downtime.
• Procurement & Cost Control: Source, order, and track spare parts and consumables. Take charge of supplier negotiations to secure the best commercial pricing and terms.
• Technical Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed technical and service logs for each machine, flagging cost inefficiencies or recurring technical faults.
• Financial Administration: Support procurement and finance teams with accurate documentation for repairs, parts, rentals, and payments.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the central point of contact for site supervisors, operators, mechanics, and project managers regarding all machinery requirements.

Requirements

• Industry Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience working with construction machinery, heavy fleet management, or plant logistics.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong background in parts purchasing, inventory control, and technical sourcing.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating with parts suppliers, mechanics, and external service providers to achieve cost savings.
• Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of machinery maintenance requirements, wear-and-tear items, and compliance standards.
• Systems Savvy: Proficient in using fleet management software, ERP systems, or advanced Excel for master register tracking.
• Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to manage multiple project stakeholders under tight deadlines.
