Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high productivity, quality, and motivation.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Software Manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define the testing scope.
- Oversee test execution across all phases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Define, monitor, and report key testing metrics, providing regular updates on progress, quality, and risks to senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
- Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes through feedback and retrospectives.
- Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners, where applicable.
- Provide support for night and after-office-hours testing activities, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial role leading end-to-end testing for large-scale projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience in large-scale project testing and commissioning, particularly in the transport or traffic management domain (especially enterprise-wide Traffic Management Systems), will be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT), and defect tracking systems.
- Proven experience in vendor or partner collaboration and effective stakeholder management.
- Strong expertise in test management practices and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with performance testing will be an advantage.
