The Role: Client Representative — Coating Inspector Inspection

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Coating Lead Inspector. Your mission is to conduct routine coating inspection across the asset's surface preparation and coating application scope, ensuring workmanship meets specification.

• Conduct surface preparation inspection (blast profile, cleanliness) and coating application inspection (film thickness, adhesion, holiday testing) against approved specifications.
• Record environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) during surface prep and coating application.
• Maintain coating inspection records and traceability logs for assigned work areas.
• Flag non-conforming coating work for rework, coordinating with the Coating Lead Inspector.
• Report inspection findings daily to the Coating Lead Inspector.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 (Coating Inspector) certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2–4 years of coating inspection experience in offshore/marine fabrication or shipyard construction.
• Working knowledge of surface preparation standards (SSPC/ISO 8501) and coating film thickness/adhesion testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
