Role Description

The Senior Executive, Human Resources is a full-time, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for supporting and managing the University's core human resource functions. The role encompasses HR operations, recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR policy implementation, and staff development initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure the effective administration of HR processes, maintain accurate employee records, and support compliance with Malaysian employment legislation and internal policies.


Working closely with the University's leadership team and department managers, the Senior Executive, Human Resources will contribute to workforce planning, organisational development, employee engagement, and the cultivation of a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in Human Resources, with demonstrated experience supporting a broad range of HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of HR management principles, HR operations, and employment lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee records administration.
  • Experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, employee engagement, and providing HR advice to managers and staff.
  • Sound understanding of HR policies and procedures, with experience in policy implementation and ensuring compliance with Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in higher education, professional services, or a similarly regulated environment would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems (HRIS), with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and service-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
