EHS Executive
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with local laws and company requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and walk-abouts across production, warehousing, and facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Document and track findings, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSA) for workplace tasks and processes.
- Identify safety hazards and recommend controls to eliminate or reduce risks.
- Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Manage reporting of EHS incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare incident reports and safety data for management review.
4. Training & Awareness
- Coordinate and conduct EHS training programs (e.g., PPE usage, emergency response, hazard communication).
- Maintain training records and ensure employees complete required certifications.
- Promote safety awareness through toolbox talks, posters, and campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., DOSH, DOE, local municipality requirements).
- Prepare and maintain required EHS documentation, permits, and logs.
- Support external audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and support environmental programs such as waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
- Track environmental indicators and assist with reporting requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Production, HR, Maintenance, Facilities) to embed EHS principles into operations.
- Provide support and guidance for contractor safety and compliance related to onsite activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Preferably 1–3 years of experience in EHS, safety coordination, or related roles — ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certifications (preferred): NEBOSH (General Certificate) or local safety certifications (NICOSH, OSHA), First Aid/CPR, Fire Safety.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of Malaysian EHS laws and best practices (DOSH, DOE, OSHA standards).
- Strong observation, communication, and report writing skills.
- Ability to train and influence employees on safety behaviours.
- Proficient in MS Office and EHS tracking tools.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
