About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our dynamic Sales and New Business Development team. This is an exciting full-time position ideally suited for fresh graduates who are eager to launch their careers in business development and sales management. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be instrumental in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our organisation. This role offers the perfect platform for ambitious graduates to develop practical skills in a fast-paced commercial environment whilst working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and researching potential new business opportunities and target markets aligned with company objectives
• Supporting the development and execution of business development strategies to drive revenue growth
• Conducting outreach to prospective clients through cold calling, emailing and networking activities
• Preparing and presenting proposals, quotations and presentations to potential clients
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients to support long-term partnerships
• Gathering market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform business development initiatives
• Maintaining accurate records of all business development activities and client interactions in the CRM system
• Collaborating with internal teams including sales, marketing and operations to support successful deal closure
• Attending industry events, networking forums and client meetings to expand business connections
• Supporting the preparation of business reports, sales forecasts and performance metrics

What we're looking for

• A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English as this roles will required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners; proficiency in BM is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for sales and business development
• Basic knowledge of sales principles, business processes and customer relationship management
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced business environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Reliability and strong work ethic with a commitment to achieving targets
