Role Overview
The Security Systems Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex electronic security projects (Access Control, CCTV/VMS, Intrusion Detection, and Visitor Management Systems). This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise in physical security infrastructure, strong financial acumen, and exceptional stakeholder management skills to deliver projects on time, within budget, and accordingly to our technical standards.
Project will be local (Singapore) and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initial handover (sales-to-operations) through to testing, commissioning, and final client sign-off.
- Develop project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), 6-stage gated workflows, and milestone schedules.
- Coordinate internal engineering resources, field technicians, and third-party sub-contractors.
- Oversee procurement and logisitics, ensuring hardware (e.g., controllers, cameras, locks) and software licenses arrive just-in-time to optimize cash flow and storage.
2. Technical Oversight
- Review and validate system architectures, network topology diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Ensure the proper installation and integration of enterprise access control panels, high-resolution IP cameras, and centralized Video Management Systems (VMS).
- Liaise with client IT and network teams to coordinate IP addressing, VLAN configurations, server deployments, and cybersecurity compliance.
3. Financial & Contract Management
- Maintain full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for assigned projects, managing budgets, tracking margins, and forecasting cash flow.
- Identify, document, and negotiate variations or change orders to protect project margins.
- Approve sub-contractor progress claims and manage vendor relationships effectively.
4. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for main contractors, consultants, end-users, and internal leadership.
- Provide regular, transparent progress reports using enterprise project management software (to be provideded), highlighting critical path items and mitigation strategies for delays.
- Conduct regular site progress meetings and safety briefings.
5. Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 – 5 years of project management experience specifically within the electronic security or low-voltage systems integration industry.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: * PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Manufacturer certifications in enterprise security platforms (e.g., Software House, LenelS2, Gallagher, Axis, Milestone, Genetec) are a massive plus.
- Singaporean preferred.
- Willing to travel for overseas project assignment
6. Technical Skills Professional & Soft Skills
Deep understanding of access control logic, electrified locking hardware, and door-opening solutions. Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation skills. Knowledge of IP networking, distributed storage architecture, and server virtualization.
Exceptional leadership and sub-contractor management capabilities. Familiarity with local building codes, fire regulations, and workplace safety standards. High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills under tight deadlines. Ability to read and interpret complex architectural, electrical, and schematic drawings.
Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
