Assist the Project Manager in managing and supervising electrical works for new build construction projects from commencement to completion.
Review, interpret, and understand electrical construction drawings, shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
Coordinate daily site activities with the main contractor, consultants, architects, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved programme and project milestones.
Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions with the main contractor and project stakeholders.
Prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and other project documentation.
Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and manpower allocation to support site operations.
Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, contract requirements, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
Identify site issues, resolve technical and coordination problems, and escalate major concerns to the Project Manager when necessary.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover activities with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
Maintain accurate project records, including site reports, progress updates, variation orders, and as-built documentation.
Support project cost control by monitoring material usage, subcontractor progress, and variation works.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction projects, preferably involving new building developments.
Good knowledge of electrical installation works, construction practices, and project coordination.
Ability to read, interpret, and review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Experience coordinating with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
Familiarity with project scheduling, site management, testing and commissioning, and project documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. Knowledge of BIM software will be an added advantage.
Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight project deadlines.
