Key Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of technology incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support enterprise Key Management Systems (KMS) and encryption platforms.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and patch management activities.
• Manage the encryption key lifecycle, including key generation, rotation, archival, expiration, and revocation.
• Support Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and cryptographic services.
• Troubleshoot database, encryption, and connectivity issues.
• Maintain database access controls and privileged account security.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Support database security incident response and perform root cause analysis.
• Prepare operational reports, risk findings, and remediation updates.
• Work with application, infrastructure, cloud, and onboarding teams during application onboarding and migration activities.
• Onboard applications onto Thales, Fortanix, and Protegrity platforms to deliver encryption, key management, and tokenization services.
• Troubleshoot issues related to encryption, key access, application integration, and supported database/storage platforms.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Lead or participate in security audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide knowledge sharing on encryption and key management best practices.

Requirements:

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), PostgreSQL (PGSQL), and Elasticsearch databases.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and patch management.
• Experience monitoring database health, performance, and availability.
• Ability to troubleshoot database, encryption, and connectivity issues.
• Experience managing database access control and privileged account security.
• Knowledge of database security incident response and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise Key Management Systems (KMS).
• Experience managing encryption key lifecycle (generation, rotation, archival, expiration, and revocation).
• Knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
