Responsibilities

Position Title: Community Development Manager

Department: Community Development

Reports To: Programme Director

Location: Based in Kuala Lumpur (travelling is required)

Employment Type: Contract (1 Year) on renewal basis

Expected Start Date: July - September 2026 (Preferably as soon as possible)


The Community Development Manager will assist the Programme Director with programme implementation under Women Of Will, with a strong focus on Klang Valley, Sabah, Kedah and Perlis. The role involves field engagement, coordination of training and livelihood projects, stakeholder management, ecosystem building and administrative support to ensure smooth project execution and meaningful community outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination & Implementation
  • Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of programmes under the organisation
  • Support the organisation of training sessions, coaching sessions, and community outreach activities.
  • Prepare project-related documentation, beneficiary records and administrative reports.
  • Support the Programme Director in reviewing programme progress and ensuring project milestones, deliverables and KPIs are achieved.
  • Assist in coordinating multiple projects across different states to ensure timely implementation.


  1. Community Engagement & Ecosystem Building
  • Liaise with local partners, trainers and facilitators to identify and engage project beneficiaries.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with community leaders and participants.
  • Communicate effectively with beneficiaries to track progress and gather feedback.


  1. Monitoring & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of beneficiaries and project activities.
  • Support data collection, field monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Provide regular updates to the Programme Director.
  • Maintain and support communication with partners as well as funders.
  • Review programme reports before submission to funders and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project timelines, deliverables and reporting deadlines to ensure compliance with funder requirements.


  1. Team & Operational Support
  • Supervise the Community Development Executives and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular field visits to project locations, including Kedah, Perlis, Sabah, and other project sites.
  • Support field visits, logistical arrangements, and on-site coordination during activities.
  • Uphold Women Of Will’s mission, values, and professional standards in all engagements.


This role requires you to work directly with our Programme Director to support not only programme implementation, but also the Community Development team. The role may also require frequent travel to a few priority states including Sabah, Kedah and Perlis


Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Malaysian citizen, aged 21 years and above.
  • Minimum qualification: A bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field is an advantage. Candidates from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
  • Must possess own transport and a valid driving license.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).


Preferred:

  • Min. 3 years of working experience in the impact space (NGOs, social enterprises, or community- based organisations.
  • Familiarity with local communities and grassroots initiatives.


Employment Terms

  • Contract Type: Contract (1 Year) on renewal basis 
  • Benefits: Besides compulsory statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), we also offer insurance (medical (inpatient and outpatient), dental as well as mental wellbeing), phone allowance, annual leave, paid birthday leave and travel allowance.
  • Salary Range: RM4,800.00 - RM5,500.00
