Reports to: Business Development Manager/ Managing Director

Job Purpose
The Service Development Engineer will lead the identification of new business opportunities and the creation of technical and commercial proposals. This role ensures that all services align perfectly with customer requirements across the oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, and heavy engineering industries. This is a full-time position based in Papar, Sabah with the tagline:

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new tenders, RFQs, and contracts
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships with new and existing clients
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, costings, and estimations
• Conduct site visits and deliver technical presentations
• Develop new services aligned with market demands
• Provide technical support to operations teams during project execution
• Assist in drafting SOP's, Method Statements, and Work Packs
• Support vendor registration, audits, and compliance documentation

Skills & Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field
• Minimum three (3) years of working experience in Oil & Gas, Maintenance or Services Industrial
• Experience in Controlled Bolting, Flange Management, Flange Facing, Cold Cutting & Beveling, Line Boring, and Milling
• Capable of technical proposal writing and project coordination, including customer negotiations and clarifications with clients

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Annual revenue generated
• Number of tenders or RFQ submitted
• Tender success rate (%)
• Number of new customers generated
