Company Overview

Allied Container Group, established in 1975, is one of Singapore’s largest container haulage and yard operators. With over 40 years in logistics, it invests in advanced equipment and software development to deliver top service and maintain strong customer system connectivity.

Job Summary

Develop and maintain web applications and services to support business goals. Collaborate with teams to define requirements, ensure quality, and stay current with web development trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services to achieve business and operational objectives while ensuring high performance and code quality
  • Collaborate with team lead and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and meet deadlines and goals
  • Work closely with UI/UX team members to ensure design consistency across applications
  • Document product features and project progress to support knowledge sharing and maintenance
  • Continuously research and apply emerging web development trends and technologies to improve solutions

Required competencies and certifications

  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience using React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP frameworks, databases, and version control tools such as Git or SVN
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of software development lifecycles and UI/UX best practices to deliver effective solutions
  • Utilize understanding of Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean) to support application deployment and scalability
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and users to meet project deadlines
  • Independently debug and resolve software issues, showing interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and research to solve complex business problems

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience with system testing and automated testing frameworks is advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience in a related field

  • 8.30am – 5.30pm (Mondays to Fridays)
