The Catering Flight In-Charge (IC) oversees all catering operations for assigned flights, ensuring meals, beverages, and equipment are delivered accurately, safely, and on time. The role involves close coordination with catering teams, cabin crew, and ground staff to maintain efficient service and meet airline standards.
Key responsibilities include verifying team attendance, conducting pre-flight briefings, and reviewing the Aircraft Food Supply Sheet (AFSS) to ensure correct meal quantities and special requests. The IC manages meal checks, organizes loading of catering supplies onto trucks, and ensures all necessary documentation is prepared.
On board, the IC supervises catering transfers, coordinates with cabin crew, handles last-minute adjustments, and completes the handover process. They also oversee the safe exit of staff after delivery and ensure smooth execution until flight departure, including managing ad-hoc flights.
Post-flight duties include completing SAP flight closure and submitting all required documentation. The role requires strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
Candidates should have at least O-level or equivalent education, with relevant experience in catering, logistics, or aviation preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle operational changes.
The role involves flexible working hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays, and may require physical tasks such as handling catering equipment.
