Job Description – Head of Network & Infrastructure (Banking / Financial Services) 

Position Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Network & Infrastructure to lead the design, 

implementation, operation, and optimization of enterprise network and infrastructure 

environments within the Banking & Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate will have 

strong expertise in network operations, data center infrastructure, cloud platforms, 

cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and team leadership while ensuring high availability, security, 

and regulatory compliance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Infrastructure & Network Management 

• Lead and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, 

wireless, and data center environments.  

• Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of all network and 

infrastructure services.  

• Oversee network architecture design, implementation, upgrades, and optimization 

initiatives.  

• Manage firewall, routing, switching, load balancing, and network security solutions.  

Data Center & Cloud Operations 

• Manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure environments (AWS, Azure, Alibaba 

Cloud, or equivalent).  

• Lead data center operations, migrations, consolidation projects, and infrastructure 

modernization initiatives.  

• Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans are established, tested, 

and maintained.  

• Drive infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives.  

Security & Compliance 

• Ensure compliance with banking and regulatory requirements, including PCI-DSS, ISO 

27001, and internal security policies.  

• Oversee vulnerability management, patch management, access control, and security 

monitoring activities.  

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security posture.  

Leadership & Vendor Management 

• Lead and mentor Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and Operations teams.  

• Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational governance frameworks.  

• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and technology partners.  

• Oversee infrastructure budgets, procurement, and cost optimization initiatives.  

Project & Stakeholder Management 

• Lead infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, network refresh, and 

modernization projects.  

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with 

organizational objectives.  

• Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior management and 

executive leadership.  

Requirements 

Education 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network 

Engineering, or related discipline.  

Experience 

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Operations, or Data 

Center Management in Banking Domain 

• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.  

• Strong experience supporting Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Insurance 

environments.  

• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure and network transformation 

projects.  

Technical Skills 

• Enterprise Network Management (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless)  

• Network Security, Firewalls, IDS/IPS  

• Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, HP ProCurve, or equivalent technologies  

• Data Center Operations & Infrastructure Management  

• Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud)  

• Windows Server, Linux Administration  

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP  

• VMware, Kubernetes, Docker  

• Network Monitoring & Performance Management  

• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning  

• ITSM Frameworks and Infrastructure Governance  

Preferred Industry Experience 

Banking, Financial Services (BFSI), FinTech, Insurance, Telecommunications, Managed 

Services, Enterprise Infrastructure Operations.
