Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our systems and storage infrastructure. This includes VMware, SAN, storage networking, Microsoft/Linux servers, backups, cloud infrastructure, and visualization tools. The role also involves translating high-level architecture into detailed deployment plans and workbooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage VMware/Hyper-V environments.
• Configure and maintain SAN switches, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel (FC) storage systems.
• Install, configure, and migrate Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS-SQL, and Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, SUSE).
• Implement and support backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
• Troubleshoot system and storage issues and optimize performance.
• Translate high-level designs and BOMs into detailed designs and deployment workbooks.
• Visualize infrastructure using Visio, *************, or equivalent tools.
• Document configurations and changes; provide training and support to users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in POC setups.
• Configure public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in systems/storage engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of VMware, Windows servers, SAN, and backup solutions.
• Experience with iSCSI, FC, and storage networking.
• Ability to create low-level designs and workbooks from architectural documents.
• Familiarity with basic networking, client coordination, and implementation support.
• Proficient in documentation and technical visualization tools (e.g., Visio).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Veeam) are an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, and M365 administration.
• Proficiency in Linux systems and OS hardening.
• Experience with Hyper-V, Blade servers, and advanced Veeam configuration.
