Role Description 

This is an on-site internship role for a Software Developer Intern based in Georgetown. The intern will support the design, development, and testing of software components for smart home and IoT solutions, working closely with senior developers and product teams. Day-to-day tasks include writing and reviewing code, implementing features, fixing bugs, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. The intern will assist in integrating software with hardware devices, APIs, and back-end services, as well as documenting technical processes and contributing to continuous improvement of development workflows. The role offers practical exposure to real-world projects, agile development practices, and smart ecosystem technologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience or coursework in Software Development and Programming, with familiarity in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP principles in designing and implementing software solutions.
• Exposure to Back-End Web Development (e.g., REST APIs, databases, server-side frameworks) is an advantage.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively in a team, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Interest in IoT, smart home technologies, and embedded or connected systems is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic debugging/testing practices is preferred.
