About the role

Longmotive Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a talented BIM Engineer to join our Civil/Structural Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Tsuen Wan, where you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and managing Building Information Modelling (BIM) solutions for our structural engineering projects. As a BIM Engineer, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation within our organisation, ensuring that our projects leverage cutting-edge BIM technology to enhance collaboration, accuracy, and project delivery. This role is essential to maintaining our competitive advantage and delivering world-class engineering solutions to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive 3D BIM models for civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate BIM data across all project phases

• Establish and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to ensure consistency across all projects

• Conduct clash detection and clash resolution analysis to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems

• Generate construction documentation, schedules, and quantity take-offs directly from BIM models

• Manage BIM project delivery, including model organisation, file management, and version control

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

• Proficiency in BIM software platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools

• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methodologies

• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection processes

• Knowledge of BIM standards, such as COBie, IFC, or industry-specific guidelines

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges

• Experience in the Hong Kong construction industry or familiarity with local building codes and regulations is advantageous
