Key responsibilities:
External Stakeholder Liaison: Act as BYD's primary representative in engagements with external parties, including:
Government Bureaux: Lands Department (LandsD), Transport Department (TD), Buildings Department (BD), and Fire Services Department (FSD) for permit applications, statutory submissions, and compliance matters.
Property Management: Owners' Corporations, landlords, and Property / Facilities Management Companies to secure site access, negotiate installation terms, and coordinate construction schedules.
Partners: Collaborate with EV Charging Service Providers and utility companies to ensure grid connectivity, metering, and service integration.
Internal Coordination: Bridge communication between BYD's internal divisions:
Liaise with the Charger Manufacturing & Engineering Team (Mainland China / Headquarters) regarding product specifications, supply chain, and technical updates.
Coordinate closely with the Local Installation Engineering Team on site surveys, civil works, technical troubleshooting, and handover procedures.
Project Management: Monitor overall project progress, prepare regular status reports, and ensure timely delivery within budget. Utilise project management software to track milestones, resources, and critical paths.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and manage technical submissions, tender documents, method statements, and as-built drawings for government approval and record purposes.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in project coordination, preferably within the construction, electrical, or building services industries. Experience in EV charging infrastructure is an advantage but not essential.
Driving Licence: Must possess a valid Hong Kong Driving Licence Class 1. Class 2 is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, data analysis, and presentations.
Hands-on experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent scheduling tools).
Language: Fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua (Mandarin), and English (both written and spoken) to effectively liaise with diverse local, mainland, and international stakeholders.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment..
