About the role

Lumen Arts Limited is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team based in North Point, Eastern District. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your project engineering expertise within a growing organisation. As an Assistant Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects, working alongside experienced professionals to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is integral to our operations, providing essential support across the project lifecycle from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• 
  Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects from inception through to handover

• Support senior engineers in developing project schedules, budgets and resource plans

• Monitor project progress and report on key metrics, timelines and deliverables to project managers and stakeholders

• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical drawings, reports and correspondence

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to facilitate smooth project delivery

• Identify and escalate project risks and issues to senior team members in a timely manner

• Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions and process improvements

• Assist with health and safety compliance on project sites and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions

What we're looking for

• 
  A relevant degree in Engineering, or equivalent qualification recognised by a professional engineering body

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders

• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in project engineering

• Previous experience in a project engineering role or internship would be advantageous

• Familiarity with CAD software or other engineering design tools is desirable
