We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. If you have hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, MariaDB, and database administration in Windows/Azure environments, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support MS SQL Server and MariaDB databases.
- Install, configure, and maintain database environments across SIT, UAT, and Production.
- Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance, optimize capacity, and ensure high availability.
- Configure and support SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clusters, and Replication.
- Coordinate with application teams, project managers, customers, and vendors for database implementation and support.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot database and application-related issues while ensuring maximum system availability.
- Maintain database security, performance, and operational documentation.
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server Administration.
- Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Knowledge of MariaDB installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (HADR), Failover Cluster Instances, and Replication.
- Strong understanding of database backup, recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Oracle Database, Oracle Exadata, Oracle GoldenGate (OGG), MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cloud Database Services (DBaaS).
- Experience with database security hardening and production support.
