About the Team

Data integrity and accuracy lies within the heart of the ULTUMUS Singapore Office. The Singapore team is entrusted with the operational aspects of supporting the firm's ETF and Index data calculation, validation, and dissemination process. The team is responsible for direct interaction with vendors and clients from both the buy and sell sides to streamline the data normalisation and aggregation process and ensure corporate events are accurately and effectively captured in a timely fashion.

Being part of the Singapore team, the successful candidate can expect to be constantly challenged, empowered, and encouraged to take charge and ownership of operational processes and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality of data captured for regional Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and major Indices such as MSCI, FTSE, Nasdaq, SIX, CSI and S&P to improve client experience
• Analysing corporate actions (CAs) and the relevant application on ETFs and Indices ensuring accurate data is reflected to clients
• Real-time support of over 700 Portfolio Composition Files (PCFs) of ETFs to ensure timely delivery before European market open
• Perform data quality, sanity, and validation checks across client facing platforms
• Troubleshooting of queries from clients related to PCFs, requiring in-depth knowledge of PCF creation workflow and calculation
• Troubleshooting of Index-related queries from clients which require research and exposure to major index providers' calculation & corporate action application methodologies
• Working together with the team or independently to suggest improvements to data normalisation and aggregation processes, to constantly improve data quality delivered to clients
• Entrepreneur spirit to problem solve, set up and streamline internal operational processes using VBA, Python, and SQL

Knowledge / Experience

• Bachelors Degree from a recognised institution or equivalent experience is required, with preference to business subject areas such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering
• Fresh graduates to 5 years' experience
• Broad understanding and a keen interest in financial markets and reference data, with knowledge and interest in ETFs and Indices a plus
• Ability to work and strive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, and team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with agile critical thinking and a problem-solving demeanor, with an eye for detail
• Excellent time management
• Excellent MS Excel skills a must
• Proficiency in VBA, Python, and SQL advantageous
• Proactiveness and willingness to learn
