Job Summary/Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and implement specialized measurement/automation tools for 3D printer testing.
- Manage and follow up closely on tool development and delivery with our assigned tool vendor according to program requirement.
- Ensure deliverables according to quality and shipment requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and QA teams.
- Manage/train and collaborate with MPA tooling team counterparts.
- Integration of measurement sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols according to HP recommendations.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing support for such tools on site.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve tool design.
- Create and maintain technical documentations, BOM, and system diagrams where applicable.
- Explore AI/automation/robotics and create/implement projects in MPA with sound ROI
- Explore/qualify alternate automation vendors for cheaper costs.
- Develop proper documentations after tool buy off. Support NPI builds and occasional travel for design reviews and vendors sites for tool discussion and validation.
- Provide technical DFX recommendations from tooling/Manufacturing POV during NPI , integrates tooling knowledge with product and product improvement phases
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or any related field
- 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing environment with production tools and automation
- Experience in measurement tools/automation tools development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
