Roles & Responsibilities
Assembly Operations
- Perform assembly activities in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Report project and assembly progress to the immediate superior.
- Assist the Engineer in achieving departmental objectives related to delivery, quality, cost, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical feedback and recommendations on assembly-related issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in leading daily GYAT meetings and supporting departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Quality & Documentation
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming parts, work-in-progress, and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Maintain and update assembly documentation, including Assembly Checklists and other production records.
- Ensure assembly processes comply with established procedures and quality standards.
Production Support & Coordination
- Coordinate closely with the Assembly, Engineering, Quality, Field Service, and Stores departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Assist the Engineer in performing daily Work-in-Progress (WIP) cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Support troubleshooting activities and recommend improvements to enhance assembly efficiency and product quality.
Training, Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in training and certifying operators and subcontractors on assembly processes and work standards.
- Promote and maintain workplace organization through 5S and Visual Workplace Management practices.
- Ensure full compliance with company safety rules, regulations, and safe work procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and operational excellence.
Confidentiality & Other Responsibilities
- Protect the company's Intellectual Property (IP) and Confidential Information (CI) by maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
- Perform any other duties or ad hoc assignments assigned by the superior.
Requirements
Education
- SKM, Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- SPM holders with relevant assembly or manufacturing experience are also encouraged to apply.
Experience
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or technical operations will have an added advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and/or electrical schematic diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of parts inspection, module assembly, precision alignment, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and manufacturing processes is an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve basic technical issues.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication tools, welding equipment, measuring instruments, and quality inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with MIG, TIG, or Spot Welding processes will be an added advantage.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
