Job Summary – Windows on Arm (WOA) Validation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing computer hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong background in computer hardware and software.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the WOA Validation Engineering team for testing and validation activities

• Perform basic computer setup and maintenance, including computer disassembly and assembly, WOA installation and driver installation/upgrades, BIOS flashing/upgrades

• Execute testing activities and perform issue troubleshooting and reporting

• Conduct issue reproduction and validation, collect and analyze test logs, and perform generic triage and debugging

• Complete all test requests within timelines and communicate revised schedules when necessary

• Utilize software tools such as bug tracking tools, databases, and other relevant tools as required

• Submit bugs into tracking tools and accurately classify severity levels

• Perform ad-hoc testing on new software and firmware components and assist in developing test plans

• Understand, modify, develop, and execute simple scripts using Python or other programming languages

• Provide periodic updates and feedback on testing status and improvement proposals for test plans

• Work on multiple projects/tasks and complete deliverables within schedule

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

• Proactive attitude to take initiative, learn, and grow

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities

• Knowledge of PC hardware and software

• Knowledge of Windows OS, driver installation, BIOS upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of Windows on Arm (WOA)
